The task of examining cultures unfamiliar to you is a tedious one that takes loads of research, time, and maybe even a trip to best see the traditions, customs, and traits of the culture in questions for yourself. In cultural studies, taking a culturally relativistic approach is always encouraged to best keep one's own bias out of the research they are producing. In understanding other cultures, it is imperative for one to understand and examine their own culture. By taking a moment for introspection to detect and analyze the makeup of your own cultural identities, you can synthesize these findings to better understand your own self and the biases that come along with your identities.
Below is a voiced-over ASL vlog that discusses the makeup of my own culture.
